How to Use MountEZ Cushion for StampEZ Stamp Mounts.
The secret to the stampEZ Mounting System is the combination of StampEZ Cushion Assembly with it's clear backing and the StampEZ Stamp Mounts, which have suction cups to hold your rubber stamp to the mount.  The stampEZ Mounting System is totally clean.  No more messy glues, or double face tape to gum up your hands and notebooks.  No more delicate cling foam with scratched surfaces which loose their effectiveness.  No more expensive Velcro systems that collect lint and dirt.  You don't need anything other than the StampEZ system for stamping with hundreds of different sized rubber stamps.

After converting your unmounted stamps to the StampEZ Mounting System, there are no additional costs to use the StampEZ mounts.  No glues, no tape, absolutely nothing.  The StampEZ Mounting System is a totally clean mounting method; no adhesives, glues or foam is exposed to collect dirt and lint.  Setting up your unmounted rubber stamps for use with the StampEZ Mounting System is quite easy and inexpensive.

Tools required:
1. medium duty scissors
2. your unmounted rubber stamp
3. StampEZ Cushion Assembly, or StampEZ Clear Backing

Using StampEZ Stamp Mounts is easy!  If you are starting with new, unmounted rubber stamps, the first thing you will want to do is trim your stamp to the edges of the image area.  It is not necessary to trim every little detail of the image area and certainly not inside the negative image area. Ideally, you should leave about 3/32" (2.4 mm) to 1/8" (3.2 mm) of land around the image.  If you trim the land closer than recommended, your image impression may distort from stamping pressure.  You can leave more land than recommended and your stamp will work fine, but the recommended trim dimensions allow you to place your image more precisely during the stamping process.

After your rubber stamp is trimmed to your liking, apply it to the adhesive side StampEZ Cushion.  There are at least two methods you can use to mount the stamp to either cushion.  One method is to work with a rectangle or square, cut from the sheet that is big enough for the stamp you are mounting.  Leave the liner on the cushion when cutting it from the sheet.  Peel back the liner and lay the clear side of the cushion, or the cling side of Cling Foam® on a clean smooth surface. Place stamp back on the adhesive and press firmly to adhere it to the cushion.  The last step is to trim the excess foam from around the stamp, flush to the trimmed land of the stamp. The adhesive will gum up your scissors, so keep some alcohol and rag near buy to clean your scissors as needed.

The second method for mounting stamps is to use the full sheet of StampEZ Cushion, and fill the area with stamps.  This method is great for working with a new sheet of untrimmed stamps.  Peel back the liner and adhere the sheet to the cushion.  After applying full sheet of stamps, trim the individual stamps to size as described above.  If you work with several trimmed stamps, peel the liner and adhere all of the stamps to the cushion.  Before trimming the foam to stamp land, dust talc power on the exposed adhesive.  Using a full sheet of StampEZ Cushion Assembly and either of these two methods greatly reduces the amount of adhesive that sticks to your scissors.

It is that easy!  Your rubber stamp is now mounted and ready to use with StampEZ Mounts.  The clear backing on the StampEZ Cushion Assembly, or the StampEZ clear Backing that was added to your existing foam backed stamps creates a surface that is easily attached to the suction cups of the StampEZ mounts. It is also ready to be stored in your binder without messy glues or adhesives to gum up vinyl pocket leaves.
